December Diary: Christmas Markets

It’s cold outside and, while I am warming in front of the fireplace with a good glass of wine, I think about this beautiful month just ended and dream that will come… December is special and requires a lot of energy because there will be so many things to do at home, work and entertainment! My agenda is full of dates to which I can not miss…

My December will be… ice skating, Christmas decorations, hot bath at the spa under the stars surrounded by the snow, gifts and dinners, weekend in the mountains with friends, but above all that magical, unique, surreal atmosphere of Christmas markets, almost like a fairy tale… Around you the joy of people, the colorful stands, a sea of ​​decorations and lights, the snow, the scent of  apple and cinnamon sweets, then when the cold is biting it is a pleasure to get warm with a  glass of mulled wine and a hot donut, looking for the great stall of butter cookies and the one of scented candles.

Fuori fa freddo e, mentre mi riscaldo davanti al camino con un buon bicchiere di vino, penso a questo bellissimo mese appena concluso e sogno quello che verrà… Dicembre è speciale e richiede tante energie tra casa, lavoro e divertimento, saranno tante le cose da fare! La mia agenda è stra colma di appuntamenti a cui non posso mancare…

Il mio dicembre sarà… pattinare sul ghiaccio, decorazioni Natalizie, il bagno caldo alle terme sotto il cielo stellato circondata dalla neve,  regali e cene degli auguri, week end in montagna con gli amici,  ma soprattutto quell’atmosfera magica, unica, surreale dei mercatini Natalizi, quasi come in una favola… Intorno a te l’allegria della gente, le bancarelle colorate,  un mare di addobbi e luci, la neve, il profumo dei dolci mela e cannella, poi quando il freddo si fa pungente è un piacere riscaldarsi con quel bicchiere di vin brulè e una ciambella calda cercando il fantastico banchetto dei biscotti al burro e delle candele profumate!
